The 86-year-old legendary jockey and 11-time champion equestrian has ridden nine G1 Derby winners. Haggas, who is married to former Derby champion coach William Haggas, said, “I went to see him earlier in the week and he is improving, which is good news. He’s been much better than he was at the start of the week and hopefully he’ll be home on Monday or Tuesday.”
