Lexus revealed its fifth generation RX Full-size SUV – built on the company’s latest GA-K platform, with a completely redesigned exterior and interior, and a wide choice of new engines including different hybrids.
The company’s newest competitor to the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE has been confirmed to arrive in Australia, but the company will continue to wait until the end of 2022 to reveal the local powertrain, specs and specs. specifications, prices and delivery times.

This last model means that the RX will be Lexus’ second PHEV after the NX450h+.
There will be two- and all-wheel drive options, Lexus adds, while the old V6 engine options have been dropped to replace these more efficient new options.

The front suspension includes a MacPherson strut while the rear uses a “newly developed” multi-link system that is said to create more efficient interior space.
The RX500h F Sport Performance is even more different thanks to adaptive suspension, rear-wheel steering and six-piston front brakes.
In terms of design, the new Lexus RX is said to have “its own identity,” but there are clearly a lot of design elements drawn from the smaller Lexus NX.
At the front are the company’s signature spindle grille and L-shaped daytime running lights. F Sport models have a distinct front bumper design with a wide and low profile, body-color bottom panels, black stainless steel window sills and 21-inch aluminum wheels.
Around the side, the new RX has the NX’s electronically-closed doors and distinctive SUV styling with sharp curves, rounded wheel arches and door spokes. It’s not as angular as its predecessor and looks a lot like recent Lexus cars.
From the back there is a full-width light bar.
The RX’s interior is based on the ‘Tazuna’ design philosophy, allowing the driver to focus on driving, while creating a spacious, airy interior.
There will be two different central touchscreen sizes, a 9.8-inch and a 14-inch one, as well as a digital instrument cluster – just like the NX.

Lexus is offering the new RX with over-the-air (OTA) updates that allow functionality updates, the addition of new functions, and performance improvements.
