The 2023 Mazda CX-60 was leaked just hours before its official reveal.

Mazda has given the CX-60 a wider look than the CX-5, with LED daytime running lights extending into the grille and taillights extending to the tailgate.
There are chrome details on the front fenders, advertising the car’s plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The dashboard also has the same layout as the CX-5, but the interior of the CX-60 is marked by an all-new large digital instrument cluster.
The same large infotainment system protrudes from the dashboard, finished with a mixture of more premium materials.
Mazda says the interior of the CX-60, following the Kaicho design philosophy, will combine different materials and textures, with elements of maple wood, Nappa leather, chrome and Japanese textiles.
There’s also the Musubu, which Mazda points out is “the unique Japanese way of binding textiles.”
The CX-60 is the first model in a quartet of SUVs under Mazda’s new Large Architecture.
The two-row CX-60 and three-row CX-80 are aimed at markets like Japan and Europe, and will have narrower bodies than the CX-70 and CX-90 aimed at North America.
Given the CX-60 is already pegged in Australia, at this stage it looks like the CX-80 will also make the trip, while the CX-90 is also a possibility – after all, we’re currently focusing on whole Asia CX-8 and focus on the US CX-9.
The Mazda Australia chief executive said he did not think the introduction of new SUVs would immediately mark the end of the company’s existing models.
Although its new model will be more luxurious, Mazda has previously said CarExpert it will not abandon the mainstream market.
“We still have to demonstrate value to the end consumer,” said Mazda Australia CEO Vinesh Bhindi in 2021.
“What we are saying is, we still offer what we call popular trends, and then also have products that extend towards the higher end of the price range,” he said.
This is not the first time the CX-60 has leaked completely uncovered.
