Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard is poised to become the ’12th man’ for the Wolverines in the pivotal football game against the Ohio State Buckeyes
NS Michigan the soccer team will have its own “12th man” on the sidelines for Saturday’s crucial head-to-head game against Ohio State: Juwan Howard.
Michigan men’s basketball coach says he will be in attendance in Ann Arbor as Wolverines No. 5 (10-1) face Buckeyes No. 2 (10-1) in a game of serious Playoff implications College Football.
“They’re going to need me out there,” Howard said Wednesday after his team’s 65-54 win over Tarleton State. “I’ll be out there humming, losing my voice, because I’m coming in with energy. I don’t know if [there is] a 12th man in football, but I feel like I’m a 12th man.”
Howard, a former Fab Five member, did not make a score prediction, but he did praise the team in its preparation for the game. Coach Jim Harbaugh is looking for his first win over the Buckeyes in Michigan after losing his first five games.
“Harbaugh and his beautiful crew, they’re getting ready,” Howard said. “I like our game plan. I haven’t seen it yet, but I trust it. I also love our players, led by so many outstanding student-athletes who started out. with my man [Aidan Hutchinson]. I can continue. I can name an entire list. That’s how I got locked.
“Do not give up JJ McCarthy now. [Cade McNamara]: for sure, it’s nice to look at. Our running back crew was amazing. But in attack, they will play on Sunday. … They are very special and they have a great coach for that attack line, but then our defense – I tell you, I can go on repeating – our defence. I am very sure. “
