Via Charles Brun: When former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder returns, Mike Tyson says he wants him to fight unified champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Wilder’s aggressive fighting style and one-punch prowess will give him a great chance to defeat Usyk. Unlike Joshua, 6’7 ″ Deontay won’t waste any time beating Usyk, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist.
If Wilder meets Usyk after he beats Anthony Joshua for the second time, he must drop his weight to a low 220s because he looked sluggish and sluggish during his three-part fight with Tyson Fury in October last year.
Wilder rose to the top of his career 238 lbs, and he doesn’t have the heart to carry that weight. After four rounds, Wilder was out of air and NEVER got a second wind.

If that weren’t the case, Tyson would likely suggest that Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) take on Joshua for the unified heavyweight title.
WBC champion Tyson Fury said last Saturday night that he wanted Wilder to fight for his world title after he vacated it.
First, Usyk needs to beat Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) again in July for Mike Tyson to hope for a Usyk-Wilder bout.
“I think Deontay Wilder should fight Oleksandr Usyk. That would be good. Wilder will aggressively try to knock him down,” Mike Tyson told Hotboxin.
It won’t be easy for Usyk to win a rematch against the highly motivated Joshua, but assuming he wins, a showdown between him and Wilder would make sense.
Usyk will need a high-profile opponent to fight after he beats Joshua again, and it makes little sense for AJ promoter Eddie Hearn to set up a three-part bout at the time. it’s between those two.
If Joshua loses the rematch, Hearn needs to try to rebuild him in the face of domestic opposition rather than throw his career away by agreeing to his desire to fight Usyk again.
Wilder, 36, has yet to respond to confirmation that he will return to the ring after his loss to Fury last October. However, World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman this week said he was certain Deontay would return.
“He is weighing his plans for the future,” WBC president Sulaiman told Sky Sports. “I’m sure he’ll be back. He’s one of those boxers you rarely see in the ring who can knock someone out with a single punch. “
