Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson have matching tattoos
Cyrus and the “Saturday Night Live” comic joined “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, where they talked about the upcoming New Year’s Eve special they’ll be hosting together. Later, Cyrus revealed how the two ended up with matching tattoos.
The shirt honors “Baby Footsteps”, a sketch in which the two appear dressed as “trapped children”.
Cyrus said that Larry David, who was also present in the sketch, asked what was going on, to which they both replied, “We’re kids.”
“In the end, our excuse for all, you know, Larry David said, ‘What’s going on?’ And we said, ‘We’re kids.’ And for some reason, we looked at each other and said, ‘That’s a great tattoo,’ she said.
Davidson immediately texted her tattooed guy to come to the 30 Rockefeller Center where they were filming, with Cyrus saying she “should have known it was a sketch.”
“Before he hit ‘send’, he was there with the needle, the permanent ink,” she laughs.
“I burned all mine and you still have yours,” Davidson said, showing her his wrist.
Cyrus also sang a cover of “It Should Have Been Me”, changing the lyrics to “It should be I / Pete, how did you do this with me?”
