Moto Edge 30 Pro price in India soars, possibly cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in India
The Moto Edge 30 Pro – the company’s upcoming rumored flagship smartphone – is expected to launch in India this week. Ahead of the February 24 launch event where Motorola teased an unspecified new smartphone, the price and specifications of the Moto Edge 30 Pro have surfaced online. The smartphone is said to be a rebranded version of the Moto Edge X30, launched in China in December 2021, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. According to a tip, the Moto Edge 30 Pro could be the most affordable smartphone with a flagship chipset in India, when compared to the Galaxy S22 series which starts at Rs. 72,999 in India.

According to a report 91Mobiles quotes tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Moto Edge 30 Pro could be launched on February 25 in India, at a price of Rs. 55,999 out of the box, and can be sold for Rs. 49,999 via Flipkart. The smartphone is also expected to launch with discounts on various bank cards, which could bring the price down to Rs. 44,999, according to the report.
Readers may recall that Moto Edge X30 to be launched in China with a starting price of CNY 3,199 (about Rs 37,900) for the 8GB + 128GB base memory model. The phone is priced at CNY 3,399 (about Rs 40,200) and CNY 3,599 (about Rs 43,000) for the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage variants, respectively.
Motorola has yet to officially reveal any details regarding the price of the purported Moto Edge 30 Pro smartphone.
Moto Edge 30 Pro specs (tentative)
According to previous reports, the Moto Edge 30 Pro is expected to be the renamed version of the Moto Edge X30. Moto Edge 30 Pro can run on Android 12 with the company’s MyUX skin at the top. That is speak powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, combined with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It could be the second smartphone to launch with the latest Snapdragon flagship processor in India, following the recent launch of the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. The Moto Edge 30 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and support for HDR+ content.
Regarding the front camera, Moto Edge 30 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone is also said to have a 60-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Moto Edge 30 Pro is said to come with a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 68W fast charging via USB Type-C. As mentioned earlier, Motorola is yet to officially reveal the specs and features of the upcoming Moto Edge 30 Pro smartphone, so the reported details should be viewed with a pinch of salt.
