Finland and Sweden have jointly expressed their desire to join NATO in May.

NATO leaders will formally invite Finland and Sweden to join the alliance on Wednesday after Turkey signs an agreement to drop their objections, NATO head Jens Stoltenberg said.
“I am pleased to announce that we now have an agreement to pave the way for Finland and Sweden to join NATO. Turkey, Finland and Sweden have signed a memorandum of understanding addressing the concerns of Turkey, including arms exports and the fight against terrorism,” Stoltenberg said on Tuesday after intense negotiations in Madrid.
