Nawaz Sharif succeeds in former Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif said that the political environment of the country has worsened during Imran Khan’s rule.

Nawaz Sharif, who is also the brother of current prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, has held ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan responsible for Pakistan’s crumbling economy and says much of his discussion with Bilawal Bhutto is to revive the collapsed economy.
“This four-year period that we have seen, I have never seen such a time in my life. Someone should ask Pakistanis, do they get bread, the poor should ask if they can take medicine. , do they have sugar, someone ask If their kids go to school… someone ask and tell me if they (the poor) can afford to pay for electricity,” Sharif said.
He added that the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee has been ruined and it will take a long time to get the Pakistani rupee back to where it was.
He also expressed gratitude to Bilawal Bhutto, for “opening up a new morning” in the Pakistani polity.
“We talked about a lot of things and I told Bilawal that he is young and the youth of the country should come forward and handle Pakistan’s problems. Our parties believe in democracy and we have a track record in Pakistan. We have proven by serving the people that we put the people and the country in the right direction,” said Sharif.
Speaking about Pakistan’s politics under Prime Minister Imran Khan, Sharif said that the country’s political environment had worsened during Khan’s four years in power.
“There is a strange environment in Pakistan these days, an environment of impudence,” Sharif said, adding, “I have not seen such an environment in Pakistani politics in the past 70 years, that Imran has Khan and his politics created (ultimately three and a half years)”.
PPP President Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari departed for London on Thursday to meet with former Prime Minister of Pakistan and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif to discuss the current political situation in the country.
