I think the league thinks it’s clear that there will be more teams in the knockout stages at this point. It’s not. Not many teams make the decision that the season is. If 22 of the 30 teams in the league all want to get better, that won’t create many commercial partners.”

5:30 pm: Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner agreed a two-year, $60 million contract extension that includes an additional $17.1 million renegotiation of his 2022-23 salary, his agent, CAA Sports’ Austin Brown, said. with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. 9 pm: After getting Rui Hachimura from Washington shamanLakers executive vice president of basketball and general manager, Rob Pelinka was asked whether the team’s pursuit of deals leading up to the February 9 trading deadline includes parting with the franchise’s 2027 and 2029 first-round picks to finalize a deal. “I think the Lakers’ calculation is whether to win the championship or not,” Pelinka said. There is no in-between or ascending growth. “So when we analyze opportunities, we have to do it through that lens.”

12:39 pm: Lakers are finalizing a deal to get forward Rui Hachimura from Wizards to protect Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hachimura has averaged 13.0 points per game this season, the final year of his rookie contract. He is expected to become a restricted free agent this summer.

11:23 pm: Mage forward Rui Hachimura deal with commercial rumors revolves around him with reporters after the previous team’s win Orlando magic, saying “I just want to be somewhere that wants me to be a basketball player and I want to be somewhere that enjoys my game.” When asked if Washington was the place, he replied: “I don’t know. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on “NBA Countdown” that Collins’ contract, which has $75 million left after this season, is giving teams pause. “There are some teams, like Utah, that want a draft with Collins to make up for that money,” Wojnarowski said. “Landry Fields, the new general manager in Atlanta, he doesn’t see John Collins as a bunch of money.”
