The first full week of the 2022 NFL preseason begins Thursday night, with New England Patriots organization Giants in New York and Baltimore Raven welcome Tennessee Titans to start blocking media.
A goal on the field at the last second lifted the Giants by one 23-21 won head coach Brian Daboll’s freshman pre-season debut against the team, a game in which the quarterback Daniel Jones and run again Saquon Barkley is one of the remarkable things to see in this field. NFL pre-season games on Thursday, August 11
Giant: This is exactly what the Giant’s offense needed after a tumultuous start at training camp. Midfielder Daniel Jones and the initial foul moved the ball well and would probably have reached the end of the field, had it not been for the poor third miss by the wide receiver Kenny Golladay near the finish line. Jones still completed 6/10 69-yard passes and ran an extra first shot. It will relieve any external pressure on him though the backup midfielder Tyrod Taylor followed by dribbling 13 of 21 passes 129 yards with a touch down throw to Richie James. Overall, the offense by the Giants and their defenders shows they are on the right track, and there is no need to make any hasty moves or panic for another month before the season opener. regular tournament in Tennessee. – Jordan Raanan
Next game: versus the Bengals (7 p.m. ET, Sunday, Aug. 21)
Patriot: On a night when Mac Jones and most of the Patriots’ starting games are off, this is an opportunity to focus on the sidelines and get a taste of the team’s unique training setup in a confusing way. Senior football advisor/CV coach Matt Patricia called the plays for the first three series when Brian Hoyer was in quarterback, and then it seemed like offensive assistant/QBs coach Joe Judge called the plays when the rookie Bailey Zappe in midfield position. Signs point to Patricia being the main player, but it’s worth noting that Judge also does some of those quests in the pre-season opening.
“I think it would be a good opportunity for us to do that,” Belichick said. “We’re going through a process.”

Ravens: Tyler Huntley shows once again why he’s among the NFL’s top backup quarterbacks. Huntley was more precise in the pre-season opener than he was in all of his training camp, completing 88.9% of his passes (16 out of 18) and superb touchdown his 14-yard touchdown pass. He also converted fourth down with a 14-yard fitness run. The Crows will always be at their best with Lamar Jackson (who didn’t play Thursday night), but they know they can still compete with Huntley. The Ravens have extended their pre-season winning streak to 21 games. “It means a lot to the culture, just to show that we’re a winning team,” Huntley said. “And we don’t care what game it is, the Ravens will fight to win.” – Jamison Hensley

Titanium: The Titans have a direct look Malik Willis with this unexpected start against Raven. Willis played in the third half and completed 6 of 11 passing attempts at 107 yards. His best throw was a 48-yard action pass for Racey McMath. The rookie’s 7-yard handball challenge shows he can also make big plays with the ball. There were times when it was clear that Willis needed to speed up his process instead of holding the ball for too long. Even though he has just started, Willis is still ranked as the number 3 full-back behind Ryan Tannehill and Logan Woodside. He will build his performance in joint practices with Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the second pre-season game next week. – Turron Davenport
