NHL postpones 3 Calgary Flames games due to COVID-19 outbreak
NEW YORK – NHL postponed The Calgary Flame‘the next three games after six players and one staff member engaged the league’s COVID-19 protocol in a 24-hour period.
The Flames announced Monday that forward Elias Lindholm, Andrew Mangiapane, Brad Richardson and Adam Ruzicka and guardians Chris Tanev and Nikita Zadorov already in the protocol.
The postponed games include Monday night’s game in Chicago, Tuesday’s game in Nashville and Thursday’s home game against Toronto.
The league said in a press release that matches have been postponed due to concerns about continued contagion and the possibility of additional positive cases. Flames training facilities have been closed until further notice.
Calgary is the third NHL team this season to have games postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Last month, Senator from Ottawa postponed three matches and New York Islanders Two matches have been postponed.
