Nightingale, A Victorian Survival Crafting Game Developed by Ex-BioWare Devs, Announced
Nightingale, a Victorian shared-world survival craft from former BioWare developers including former BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn, has been announced.
Flynn announced that he is building a new studio for Improbable back in 2019 and to this day, it remains simply an in-house studio in Edmonton, Canada. Flynn and team announced during The Game Awards 2021 tonight that the studio is officially Inflexion Games and its first game is Nightingale.
Set in the fictional “gaslamp” Victorian era, Nightingale will task players with exploring worlds in search of humanity’s rumored final paradise called… you guessed it: Nightingale. It is currently in development and is expected to release Early Access on PC next year.
Players can look forward to the forests, swamps, deserts, etc in the land of Fae to explore. Along the way, they will need to build estates, farms, communities, etc. to survive using handcrafted tools, equipment, and weapons. You’ll be able to do all of this alongside friends and foes alike, thanks to Nightingale’s shared world aspect.
