Square Enix and People Can Fly have revealed new expeditions, an improved loot system, and more that are coming to the Outriders with the upcoming New Horizons update.
In a new trailer revealed this morning you can clearly see what will happen in New Horizons but in Big Outriders stream held today, the team detailed even more what’s included in the update. More specifically, you can expect four new expeditions, a completely reworked exploration system, an improved loot system, and a new transformation system when New Horizon launches tomorrow. .
Regarding the expeditions, four new expeditions will appear on the same day the update is released. They will, however, be reworked just like the rest of the expeditions: by default, the timer goes off, and how quickly or slowly you complete an expedition is no longer a factor in the loot. your. Timers will still be an option for them, but using them will only earn you “bragging rights” as they no longer affect your loot rewards.
Speaking of loot rewards, items you already own are less likely to drop in-game, meaning you’ll see an increased number of new gear and weapons you buy. You can also now complete the ultimate Outriders quest, Eye of the Storm, for a free piece of legendary loot of your choice. There will always be three random legendary items available as rewards for completing the Eye of the Storm, and they will never be the loot shards you already have.
Regarding the new Outriders transformation system, it’s about what you’d expect: you can transfer the stats and abilities of one weapon to another weapon’s physical appearance, and the same can be said for all of equipment. So if you get a better weapon but don’t want to give up the look of your current weapon, you don’t have to – just use transmog to carry that weapon with you. Even the sound of your weapon will follow the movement, according to People Can Fly.
New Horizon is out tomorrow, November 16, and it will likely be the last major update like this before the Outrider’s 2022 expansion called Worldslayer. People Can Fly said to expect more of this expansion in the future.
