Overwatch 2 announces new tank hero, Ramattra
Blizzard has revealed the next hero to join its roster, the leader of the Null Sector, Ramattra.
As teased in the legend, Ramattra was the leader of the Null Sector organization. Like Zenyatta, Ramattra is a Shambli monk who no longer sees a pro-peace option for Omnics rights, and now takes on a more “pragmatic angle,” according to the Overwatch blog that published his reveal.
“Originally a war machine, Ramattra sheds her bombs to shield her people by promoting peace and quiet,” Blizzard wrote. “However, Ramattra’s story is one of hardship, trauma and an exaggerated view of the harsh realities of humanity.”
While Blizzard only shared a cinematic trailer showcasing the plot and origins of Ramattra, IGN was part of a media roundtable with Overwatch 2 Hero designer Alec Dawson has revealed Ramattra will have two forms that players can switch back and forth.
“He has two forms. He has an Omnic form and a Nemesis form. Part of the skill we’re testing is when to switch between those forms. Because of the Omnic form, you’re playing a prank game. hey, you’re protecting your party, a little bit in range. And then the Nemesis form you’re swooping down on the enemy, you’re rushing there and you have these punches.”
The leadership of the Null Sector is on a mission to create a better world for the Omnics… no matter the cost.

Overwatch 2 is finally out, completely replacing the original Overwatch although players are still waiting for a narrative-driven PvE mode.
