Overwatch pulls Ramattra into the obsession with guilt with his feet
Overwatch 2 newest hero, Ramatra, is a general-purpose robot that barely follows the traditional human notions of shape and form. But someone at Blizzard decided that wasn’t the case with his new skin for the game Events inspired by Greek mythologyand they gave him human legs.
Ramattra’s skin is based on Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. It comes with a trident emoji, tentacles that grow from his back when he transforms into his sturdy Nemesis form, and two sets of five piggies thanks to his new human legs. Blizzard, it just doesn’t seem content to let it be just an unfortunate piece of knowledge we all have and can forget unless we actively play precaution 2, posted a close-up of the feet in question and asked us to “discuss” them. So here we are.
The strange thing is, guard has an uncanny, constant fascination with feet, both in the game and in its community, and people were quick to remind whoever runs the game’s social media about this. this in the comments section. One response includes a graph of all the heroes’ pins guard showed (although it maybe needs some updates, as this is the original game, not a sequel).
Another notorious case of guard the community is going crazy is a user named Tyrone who spends a lot of time on the game forum requires emojis, featured intros, and skins that will reveal the legs of certain characters—although no one knows what happened to them. Hopefully nothing is going on and Tyrone is fine.
Despite all this, while some characters in history didn’t wear shoes as they ran towards the payload, Sigma, the last tank character added by Overwatch list before moving on to its sequel, perhaps the one most famous for letting the dogs breathe since that’s been a near-constant thing for his character. Initially, the floating, stoned scientist left his shoes at home as part of the plan. questionable design choices meant to represent how patients in psychiatric institutions typically don’t wear shoes to minimize self-harm behavior through laces. In the years since, and with precaution 2 completely refreshed his character interactions, Sigma’s bare feet have been the target of several pranks, such as The Widow comment someone should get him some shoes after landing a kill.
Therefore guard and the community’s fascination with feet continues into 2023, and now they have drawn Ramattra into these sinful paths. He is an innocent robot. He doesn’t deserve this. As he himself says in the game, have we suffered enough?
