Paul Hourican promoted to Global Head of Music Operations at TikTok
Paul Hourican has been promoted to Global Music Executive at TikTok.
The London-based CEO entered the business in November 2019 as Director of Music Operations, UK and European Union.
During his time at ByteDance– owned platform, Hourican has focused on the major music markets across Europe and is responsible for its music strategy and operations in the region.
MBW understands that Hourican will now lead a team that coordinates TikTok’s music campaigns globally, including its work with artists and labels.
Before joining TikTok, Hourican was the Head of International Artist Marketing at YouTubein New York, from 2017 to 2019.
He was the Head of the Music Selection Team at the previous stage, from 2015 to 2017.
Before joining YouTube, Hourican was the Head of Music and Talent for MTV UK in London.
Announcing his new role in LinkedIn parcel On Thursday (September 29), Hourican said: “There is much more to watch, but very excited and grateful to be joining a new gig at TikTok as the Music CEO. Global Music.
