Something not to be missed SsangYong Rexton received the special edition cliché for 2022: Black Edition.
Available in either Space Black or Pearl White, the limited edition builds on the flagship Ultimate and features more aesthetic tweaks than some of the black special editions.
In addition to the expected set of black painted alloy wheels – measuring 20 inches – there are also black painted roof rails, a glossy black grille and unique LED fog lights.

Unusual for a car in 2022, Rexton have not received a price increase. The range still opens up at US$47,990 like last year, after the old rear-wheel drive, gasoline-powered base EX is cut out.
The Black Edition peaks at $56,585 to drive.
The Ultimate has lost the unique set of 20-inch alloy wheels and reverted to the 18s of the ELX instead.

Metallic paint colors go up from $100 to $595 on the ELX and Ultimate, though that’s standard on the Black Edition. Otherwise, the Rexton range is immutable.

It boasts a brake towing capacity of 3500kg just like a Isuzu MU-Xbut rather unusual in this segment when it comes to independent multi-link rear suspension.

Engine
2022 SsangYong Rexton powered by a 2.2 liter 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine manufacturing 149kW power 3800 rpm and 441Nm torque from 1600 to 2600 rpm.
It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent through a part-time all-wheel drive system with a selectable low-frequency range.
Energy saving
2022 SsangYong Rexton use 8.7L / 100km on the mixed cycle. It has a 70L fuel tank.
Size
Measures SsangYong Rexton 2022 4850mm long, 1825mm high and 1960mm wide on a Wheelbase 2865mm.
For all three rows, it has 236L Boot space is measured to the top of the third row of seats. This expands to 641L with the third row reduced, the maximum is 1806L – measure to the roof – with the second and third rows folded.

Service and Warranty
2022 SsangYong Rexton is covered by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty.
Rexton requires servicing every 12 months or 15,000 km. The first seven services are capped at $375 each.
