Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a beloved entry in the 2003 original and action-adventure series developed by Ubisoft Montreal.
In September 2020, Ubisoft announced that they are remaking The Sands of Time, this time with development handles Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai. Originally set to release in January 2021, Ubisoft revealed in late 2020 that the remake has been delayed by two months. Just three months later, Ubisoft announces that The Sands of Time is indefinitely delayed and that’s when fans started to wonder what was going on with this remake. It looks like Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai couldn’t get their hands on the remake as the publisher has now revealed that development of the remake has been turned over to Ubisoft Montreal, the game’s original creator.
“The development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will now be led by Ubisoft Montreal, the same site that spawned the Sands of Time epic trilogy,” a statement from Prince of Time’s official Twitter account Persia. “This decision is an important step and the team, building on the achievements of Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, will now take the time they need to regroup across the range of games to bring you the best experience. best for the remake of all. -time classic, when it’s ready. As you can see, the remake doesn’t have a new release date due to this change and, in theory, is still delayed indefinitely. If there is a release date attached to the project, chances are today’s news will entail a new delay.
