This weekend, HBO Max announced it was refreshing its comedy series Rap Sh! BILLION for the second season. This news comes shortly after the first season was released as eight episodes in July of this year, and is clearly such a success that the streaming service is happily giving the green light for more.
“We are happy to play in the world of Rap Sh! BILLION for another season with this incredibly talented team,” series creator and moderator Issa Rae told Diversity.

Who from the cast will return in the second season of Rap Sh! BILLION?
In a statement, Rap Sh! BILLIONHost Syreeta Singleton generally addressed the entire cast of season one, saying, “This show and cast is one of a kind and I’m excited to be doing this again. with them. We will grow stronger and stronger! “
That cast includes Aida Osman, KaMillion, Jonica Booth, Devon Terrell, and RJ Cyler. Osman and KaMillion will return as two old high school friends, Shawna and Mia, from Miami, after which they reunite to rap together. Issa Rae will return as executive producer.
Part two of Rap Sh! BILLION about?
The first season begins with Shawna and Mia in very different places in their lives. Shawna has moved to New York and Mia has a child, a girl named Melissa, breaking up with former close friends. Shawna eventually returned to Miami and started working at a hotel while posting his own rap videos on social media. Meanwhile, Mia has become successful as an influencer and with her OnlyFans account.
They reconnected after a party with some free poses on Instagram Live, turning into live performances and other opportunities. But their path is not smooth, the couple faces many setbacks, especially in their relationship. The two are also tackling complicated romantic scenarios and adding spice to each episode.
The season ends with Mia breaking up once and for all from Melissa’s father, with whom she has had a close relationship for many years. And it ended with the police catching Shawna, who had been running a credit card scam all season long. All of this happens right after the friends decide to tour together, so either season two will see Shawna struggle with the law or some more exciting travel. It could also explore how Mia’s relationship with her new guy, Ca$h Chaser the Goat, is going.
When will production begin on season two of Rap Sh! BILLION?
It has yet to be announced when the series will begin returning, but if the second part is released on a similar schedule next summer, it could be pretty soon.
