Rapper Papoose named Head of Hip-Hop at TuneCore


Believe-DIY music distributor TuneCore appointed US rapper Papoose as Head of the Hip-Hop Division.

In her new role, Papoose will report directly to Andreea Gleeson, CEO, TuneCore.

Papoose will lead the company’s Artist Ambassadors program for Hip-Hop and Rap, scouting emerging talent on behalf of TuneCore.

He will also oversee artist education and career counseling workshops, and act as a brand advisor for new TuneCore programs and innovative technology launches.

TuneCore notes that as an artist, Papoose has worked in the industry “at every level, from building his profile as a rising rapper in the ’90s mixtape era, to signing with his major label in the ’00s” as well as “returning to independence as an established star”.
