Redmi K50 series features both MediaTek Density and Snapdragon SoC
The Redmi K50 series is said to be in development. As a tip, the upcoming Redmi K-series flagship smartphone will be powered by four different processors – two from MediaTek and two from Qualcomm. The tipper also mentioned that all four models of the Redmi K50 series will come with the new MIUI 13 pre-installed. The two MediaTek chipsets mentioned are MediaTek Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000. The Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer has not yet launched it.
Tipster Digital Chat Station showcased the expected processors that the upcoming Redmi K50 series of smartphones will feature. The tipper mentioned four processors – MediaTek Dimensity 7000 SoC coming soon, recently launched The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, Snapdragon 870 SoC, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC have not been announced. According to the tip, Redmi Smartphones with Qualcomm chipsets will be faster than smartphones with MediaTek chipsets.
Digital Chat Station has also hinted that Redmi K50 series smartphones will come with MIUI 13 pre-installed. However, it is not confirmed if they will receive MIUI based Android 11 or Android 12.
Earlier this month, a tip speak that Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition and Redmi K50 Gaming Pro will be codenamed Matisse (based on French artist Henri Matisse) and Rubens (based on German artist Peter Paul Rubens). The first is said to have L11A as its internal code, while the second is said to have L10 as its internal code.
According to experts, Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7000 SoC, while Redmi K50 Pro will have MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The device was also previously said to have a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor.
On the other hand, Redmi K50 Pro is said to be sold globally with Poco brand, speculated to be Poco F4 GT or Poco F3 GT. It is also said to have a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate with a Goodix fingerprint sensor and FPC. It could have a quad rear camera setup, possibly a 64-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX686 sensor.
