Inspired by racing yachts from the early 20th century, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail – first revealed in May 2021 – is the first custom-designed limited-run model from the Coachbuild division of the company. the company.

This particular Boat Tail was commissioned by a client whose family business has roots in the pear industry.
The clients are people who are “internationally educated and internationally minded in their taste and influence” and possess “a large collection of classic and modern cars” housed in a museum. dedicated private museum.
At the beginning of the process of testing this Boat Tail, the customer gave Rolls-Royce 4 pearl shells with unique colors. This is the inspiration for the exterior colors which are clearly “one of the most intricate Bespoke finishes ever created by Rolls-Royce”.
The paint color is based on a blend of “soft scallop and rose” paint, with copper and white mica pieces adding a unique touch.
There’s also a cognac-colored bonnet with gold-plated brass and aluminum pieces, along with a crystal finish and a translucent transparent mantle.
The long rear deck contains signature wooden panels that are hinged from the center and flipped up from the side.
This particular stern with panels is made from Royal Walnut veneer, inlaid with satin polished rose gold plated trims.
Built into these boot compartments is a dining set with folding seats, in addition to a parasol.
The Pantheon grille is cast from a single billet of aluminum and is complemented by the Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet decoration in rose gold.
For weather protection, the Tail comes with a temporary tonneau visor, as well as a hand-fitted permanent canopy with a flying boot design.
Inside the cabin, there are “perfect match” oyster and cognac leather panels and Royal Walnut planks, with rose gold and pearl accents throughout.
The centerpiece of the interior is a watch made from mother of pearl, selected and supplied by the customer from his own collection.
