Rolly Romero Wants Adrien Broner, Calls It “Imagine War” for PPV
Via Jim Calfa: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero says he wants to fight Adrien Broner and he feels it will be a significant pay-per-view match that will sell for a lot of money.
Unfortunately for Rolly, Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) ruled out a fight with him, this week saying that bout didn’t help him.
It’s understandable why Broner wouldn’t want to risk being beaten by the younger, faster, and stronger Rolly as he would most likely lose that fight.
Broner that we saw in his last two fights against Jovanie Santiago and Manny Pacquiao will be food for the flawed but very strong Rolly.
Unsurprisingly, Rolly found it hard to believe, since Broner was fighting a mysterious boxer named Michael Williams Jr. next month in the first match of his three-match contract with BLK Prime on February 25.
Williams has never fought anyone of note in his career and he was brought in as a replacement after Hank Lundy was withdrawn from the fight.
Rolly may be right in his view that his bout against former four-weight world champion Broner will be well received by boxing fans.
“It’s a bonus. We both have views and it’s a fight everyone wants to see because I didn’t mention it. Everyone else did,” said Rolly Romero fight about his fight with Adrien Broner.
“It helped him a lot because it was a pay-per-view match, which sold a lot because it was so hyped,” Rolly said when he learned that Broner said a The match against him was not in his favor.
“I didn’t bring it up. Everyone else did. Imagine me and Broner going to fight it. I’m pretty sure it’s more useful to him than whoever he’s fighting right now.
“So what sells more?” Rolly said comparing his match against Broner to that of little-known Michael Williams Jr, whom Adrien will play next month on February 25.
“What would most likely help Adrien Broner make more money? me or [Michael Williams Jr]. Adrien Broner is one of my favorite boxers.
“It was a king’s fantasy war. I do not know. He’s with BLK Prime, so that’s not going to happen. I’ll have to go to BLK Prime, or he’ll have to go to Showtime, and both of those events seem highly unlikely. Rolly said.
