Russia About Germany, France Negotiate

'Their real situation is informed': Russia on Germany, France talks

Russia-Ukraine War: Russia Putin declares “clear violation” of international humanitarian action

Moscow:

The Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday criticized what he said was a “clear violation” of international humanitarian law when he held phone talks with the leaders of France and Germany.

“Putin has informed (them) about the actual situation of matters” in Ukraine, his office said in a statement. “In particular, many examples of clear violations of the rules of international humanitarian law by Ukrainian security forces have been cited,” the statement said.

Putin accused the Ukrainian military of “illegal executions of dissidents” and of “taking hostages and using civilians as human shields”, the Kremlin said.

He also stated that the Ukrainian military is deploying heavy weapons near hospitals, schools and kindergartens.

At the same time, nationalist battalions are systematically disrupting rescue operations, threatening civilians in evacuation efforts, the Kremlin said.

The Kremlin said Putin had urged France’s Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Olaf Scholz to pressure the Kyiv government to stop these “criminal activities”.

The Russian president also informed Macron and Scholz about the negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian negotiators.

Regarding this relationship, the leaders of the three countries resolved a number of issues related to the agreements being drafted on the implementation of well-known Russian requests, the Kremlin said.
