Shakur Stevenson, Errol Spence Jr., and more react to George Kambosos Jr.’s upset win. before Teofimo Lopez

Teofimo Lopez promised to perform at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden.

Lopez, a New York native, has fought in his hometown for the seventh time in his career and has won all previous matches by knockout.

However, this fight against George Kambosos Jr does not follow that trend.

Kambosos Jr defeated Lopez in a major loss to win the WBO, WBA, IBF, and WBC franchise lightweight championship.

Kambosos Jr., who fought for the world championship for the first time in his career, became Australia’s fifth unified champion since 1960. It was a distinguishing decision as the two referees scored the scores. for Kambosos Jr. are 115-112 and 115-111 for Kambosos Jr. and the third judge gave it to Lopez, 114-113. After the fight, Lopez wasn’t afraid to share her thoughts on the jury’s decision.

“I don’t care what people say,” Lopez said. “I won this war.”
