MGSW Sombeyay (Into Mischief – Teroda, of Limehouse) has been retired to maintain the 2022 breeding season at Swifty Farms in Seymour, IN. He will command a charge of $3,000 LFSN. GIII winner Sanford S. sprinted at Saratoga as a minor and GIII Canadian Turf S. over a mile on the Gulfstream as a 4-year-old last term while racing for Todd Pletcher, a $230,000 KEESEP was was purchased last summer and has run for Swifty Farms and Peter Miller since then. He retired with a 19-4-7-0 record and an income of $482,316.
“Sombeyay is a very precise, well proportioned individual that will catch your eye every time you see him,” said Swifty Farms manager Jerri Harmon. “Combine all of that with two-sided speed…that makes for his future prospects as an electric-only stallion.”
In addition to MSP Teroda, Sombeyay is one half of this year’s GIII Florida Oaks Domain Expertise winners (The joy of kittens).
He joins a roster that already has two new additions for 2022 in Todd’s sleepy eyes (Paddy O’Prado) and American time (Tapizar).
