South Africa vs India: “Unfortunately”, fans react as Rohit Sharma scraps upcoming test series
In a major blow to the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma has been dropped from the upcoming Triple Test series against South Africa. The tennis player injured his left hamstring during training in Mumbai and was replaced by Priyank Panchal. After the BCCI made the official announcement on Monday, fans took to Twitter to wish Rohit good luck in his recovery and also called the development “unfortunate”. One fan tweeted: “For someone who spoke so well about the work he’s done for the UK tour, the process he’s been through, the success he’s finally had, This must have been a heartbreaking development. It’s unfortunate for Rohit Sharma and also worrying that it’s the hamstring.”

Rohit Sharma is off for three weeks. Can’t go to South Africa. Ligament.
Injury is not timely.

Having just beaten New Zealand in a red-black penalty shootout, India is scheduled to face South Africa in a Triple Test series starting December 26. The first match will be held at Centurion.
Rohit was recently appointed as India’s full-time white ball captain, taking the place of Virat Kohli. Kohli remained the Indian Test captain, while Rohit was promoted to mate.
