Street Fighter V’s final digital event airs next week
Newcomer Luke will be at the heart of next week’s Street Fighter V Fall Update, which is also being billed as the final event for the long-supported game.
In a tweet this morning on the Street Fighter Twitter account, the streaming event is set for Tuesday, November 23 and promises a gameplay showcase for Luke and a behind-the-scenes look at the character. In previous updates, Capcom showed footage of the mocap sessions, shared design insights and music/commodity collaborations, along with analytics on gameplay.
Luke has revealed in August is the final addition to Season 5 character tickets, and Street Fighter V in general, after the return lovers parade from Street Fighter and the rival Schools in the adjacent series. In the event he was revealed, the developers of Street Fighter V described Luke as a glimpse into the future of the series. He dressed for the match with MMA equipment, including lightweight gloves and sponsor pants. His moveset features fast attacks and fast, high-impact projectiles, though we’ll have to see how this has changed in the time since the reveal. Hopefully we’ll also get more hints about what to expect in an upcoming Street Fighter game.
