Asmussen and Ortiz team up two more races later in the $200,000 Zia Park Oaks with Stonestreet Stables’ Pauline’s Pearl , who ran down to California shipper and 4-5 lovers Lady Mystify for her first win since Fantasy Stakes (G3) in April in Oaklawn.

A Kentucky cross, Pauline’s Pearl was produced from a Dixie Union mare Hot Dixie Chick , the student won the first prize trained by Asmussen. The dam of three winners from four starts, Hot Dixie Chick produced a multi-stakes winner Union Jackson , via Curlin , as her first pony. She has an unranked 2-year-old full brother of Union Jackson named Marsalis who went back to the work tab last week at Stonesteet Training Center, after weaning structure colt, and bred with Quality Sugar for the year 2022.
Earlier on the card Asmussen and Ortiz also collaborated with the hybrid of Winchell Thoroughbreds Option , One Gunman who was the winner of 6 1/2 length of Zia Park Princess Stakes. Optionality became the sixth black category winner for her top freshman year.
