Suspects wanted after stolen vehicle pursuits and carjacking – Winnipeg
Police are searching for a suspect after a wild 30-minute stint involved in a failed chase for stolen vehicles and a car robbery.
The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. on July 6, when officers spotted a stolen vehicle driving west on Goulet Street.
Police followed, but backed away due to the suspect’s driving style. This car crashed into another on the Queen Elizabeth Bridge and continued on.
The car eventually made its way to Archibald’s 600 block, where the two suspects got out of the car and jumped into another stolen vehicle.
Police spotted the man and started chasing him again, but eventually the car started driving the wrong way down Marion Street leading to the pursuit being aborted once again.
At around 7:45 p.m., police were informed that a carjacking had occurred in a church parking lot in the 300th block of Munroe Avenue after a woman in her 70s was dragged by the same suspect. from the rental car. She was treated for minor injuries.
Police searched the area, but were unable to identify the suspects.
