TAA reports Preakness success
The organization said in a statement Wednesday that the Thoroughbred Post-Pure Care Alliance (TAA) had a successful week in Maryland in celebration of Preakness with several on-site events.
With over 160 in attendance, America’s Best Race Prep Party to Benefit TAA kicked off the week at the Mt. Washington. A total of $25,000 was raised from a silent auction, ticket sales and donations.
Dan Tordjman, Director, Business Development/Sponsorship, America’s Best Race, said: “It’s an honor to once again partner with the Thoroughbred Aftermarket Care Alliance on what has become such an event. must-attend event on the annual racing calendar. “We want to thank everyone who supported the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance at the party and through the online auction. We look forward to seeing this event grow in the coming year and beyond.”
On Saturday, May 20, the TAA presented the Sir Barton S. Award sponsored by Brandon and Diannah Perry to benefit TAA. The Perrys signed an agreement to donate $100,000 annually to TAA as a primary sponsor for three consecutive years.
Brandon and Diannah Perry, Paragon Farms said: “Diannah and I are honored to advance the mission of the Purebred Consequential Care Alliance, with our sponsorship by Sir Barton S.. “We are honored I am honored to be able to support the rehabilitation, retraining and rehabilitation of these wonderful Purebred dogs, which has brought us all so much joy. Seeing horses give everything for their owners, trainers, grooms and fans to enjoy life after the race is truly rewarding.”
On both Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness Day, TAA held a Best Turned Out Award in the Pimlico winner’s ring for each race sponsored by Beyond the Wire and Fidelity First.
