Via Jeff Aaron: Tired-looking IBF/WBA/WBC Franchise/WBO lightweight champions are Teofimo Lopez (16-0, 12 KOs) and George Kambosos Jr. The IBF’s mandatory (19-0, 10 KOs) all successfully weighed Friday at the weigh-in for their fight this Saturday night, November 27 on DAZN at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Teofimo, 24, weighs at the light limit of 135 lbs and looks terrible, while his rival Kambosos Jr. weighs only 134.4 lbs.
The two have had a long confrontation and you can tell that Kambosos, 28, is trying to gain an advantage by glaring at Teofimo menacingly, doing his best to intimidate him. Even so, that kind of garbage is useless at this level, and it looks good but it’s pointless.
Kambosos’ only chance of victory is if Teofimo is exhausted from gaining weight, and runs out of gas easily on Saturday night. Also, Kambosos will need an injury for Teofimo, but that is unlikely.
This could be Teofimo’s last fight at 135 before he moves up to 140 to start moving in the light weight division. After eight years of fighting in the light division, Teofimo had outgrown the division and needed to increase to 140.

Teofimo says “it’s personal”
“Because he didn’t want it to be personal. I said I wanted to break your neck and you’re saying, “Isn’t that personal?”, Teofimo Jr. talk to iFL TV about Kambosos.
“This is personal to me. Every fight that I do is personal because they are trying to take everything that I work hard for. Every fight from this point forward is personal. I’m surprised he doesn’t take it personally,” Teofimo said of Kambosos.
“Yes, I totally believe that,” Teofimo said when asked if he believes the match will end in a knockout in the first round. “I am looking to do bigger and better things.
“I’m trying to do what I can when I can, and how I can. Next year, in 2022, we’ll have three wars going on.
“We agreed on making the fight happen,” Teofimo said of the fight between him and Devin Haney. “We don’t say weight. So for me, 140 is where we can make it.
“I am not afraid of Loma. It’s just that he never offered a rematch clause to me,” Teofimo said in response to Josh Taylor’s unraveling of his win over Vasily Lomachenko by saying he’s a featherweight superweight and not give him a rematch because he’s scared.
Kambosos falsely said Teofimo Sr
“I just want to say let’s tune in tomorrow, it will be very quick and this will be the knockout of the year,” said Teofimo Lopez Sr. told Boxing Social during Saturday’s game between Teo and George Kambosos Jr.
“These guys have no respect for the champion and his family. We are ready, but they are not ready,” said Teofimo Sr. “My son doesn’t lose to this guy.
“The cup that he [Kambosos] unreal. He’s bringing it out, and he wants to convince himself he can beat my son, but he knows deep inside he’s going to be knocked down.
“I can’t wait until tomorrow night for it all to be over and we can send this guy [Kambosos Jr.] back to Australia. Hopefully he doesn’t get hurt like that.
“That was the fight we wanted,” said Teofimo Sr. about undisputed lightweight champion Josh Taylor. “He fights in February, and we fight in February with Devin Haney or whoever, we don’t care.
“We said we would fight him. My son can’t be at this weight anymore. He’s been at this weight for eight years. We have to go up. This fight is going to be great. I just want people to follow. Don’t miss it”, Teofimo Sr.
