TERF Award for University of Minnesota Foundation
The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) has announced that the University of Minnesota Foundation will be the recipient of a $4,000 award for student education purposes. Officially renamed in 2012 to its current moniker, TERF strives to ensure that a next generation of horse stewards, who often don’t have the option to continue their horse research, will not be left behind. In keeping with its mission of both supporting and promoting equine education, TERF continues to provide financial support for a program that provides extensive experience and opportunities encompassing the breadth and depth of everything about horses. The University of Minnesota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources also provides opportunities for students to engage in activities that enrich the knowledge and skills that prepare them for a career in the equine industry.
