SRINAGAR: Two migrant workers were shot and wounded by terrorists in Ratnipora local Kharbhatpora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday night.
An official said the workers have been identified as Shamshad Ahmad and Faizan Qadri, both residents of Bihar. Immediately after the shooting, both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, where their condition is said to be stable, he said.
Meanwhile, Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar confirmed the attack and said the area had been cordoned off to hunt down the attackers.
In early July, a migrant worker from Bihar was shot dead in Kashmir’s Bandipore.
In June, terrorists shot dead one migrant worker and wounded another in Budgam. They also shot down a bank manager, originally from Rajasthan, on the premises of Elaquai Dehati Bank in Kulgam district. The murder of the banker was the eighth targeted murder in the Valley in June itself.
