Although the PlayStation 5 didn’t launch with a deep lineup, the soul of the devil The remake developed by Bluepoint Games is one of the best console launches in recent times. It maintains most of what made the original PlayStation 3 special, improving things a bit with a major upgrade in visual fidelity and some very useful quality of life updates. It may not be the best or the most satisfying soul adventure—a high bar—but the soul of the devil both justify the move to a next-gen system and solidify Bluepoint as a studio where we want to remake our favorite games if and when the time comes.
A good match for: the soul of the devil fans who don’t mind a few cosmetic changes who are looking for a relatively easy entry point soul series and anyone who doesn’t mind a good challenge.
Not a good match for: the soul of the devil The fans just want a straight gate. Players who want their games to be as frustration free as possible.
