Although Oculus Quest has its own library, the variety of games is enhanced by the ability use Link as an option to play more adventures. Some of our recommendations below don’t need Links, but we’ve noted that some require additional ingredients to ensure transparency.
Immortal Vader

You fight… with lights. Enough said. Although this game is very short, to be honest, it is a great workout alternative for those who want to work on their cardiovascular fitness while having fun. Plus, again: lights.
Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
Does this require Oculus Link? It was available at launch, but a Quest version is available now.
If you like The Walking Dead, or just enjoy the zombie genre in general, Saints & Sinners is perfect VR game for you to check out. It’s a single-player adventure that will pit you against the zombies in a way that’s familiar to Walking Dead fans while retaining the uniqueness that makes it all-encompassing.
With the game’s heart set in New Orleans, you’ll have to confront warring factions, the undead, and survivors who need your help. This game is the surprise of the year for me personally; I cannot recommend it enough.
Star Wars: The Squad
Does this require Oculus Link? It’s correct.
We can’t get enough Star Wars: Squadrons But for pilots who want to take this adventure in a galaxy far, far away to the next level? VR is the way to do it. Get rid of the X-Wings, be the epic Star Wars character you’ve always wanted, and do it all safely right from your living room. There are no IRL Empire encounters required for this experience.
Super hot
Does this require Oculus Link? Is not.
Superhot has been around for a while, and it’s not a VR exclusive. That being said, VR version of this game is a unique experience on its own, even if I still haven’t been able to successfully get over the “just be cold and stand still for a second” aspect of this particular journey. Shoot guns, throw guns, Matrixit’s a great game and a must have for any VR owner.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew
Does this require Oculus Link? Is not.
This game is great to play with Star Trek fans, although it’s not as beloved as many of the other VR titles on this list. Take charge of the ship of your dreams through different missions that are great to tackle with friends. While not the most innovative title, Star Trek: Bridge Crew knows its target audience: fans who love to live long and prosper.
Phantom Covert’s activities

This is a game that Splinter Cell fans will love and is perfect for those who love military-style VR adventures. Get sneaky, get the info you need, and complete the objectives accurately to beat the story and become the best techno operative out there. All while kayaking.
Myst
Does this require Oculus Link? Is not.
Myst takes you straight to a mysterious island full of beauty but also shrouded in injustice. You’ll need to use both your imagination and wits to uncover the secrets involved in a violent betrayal, providing a story that will stick with you long after the credits launched.
If the name sounds familiar, this is a VR spin of the original classic puzzle adventure game with more modern touches as seen with the puzzles itself, the game’s sounds and more.
It’s also the only game on the list that doesn’t have it yet, but it’s due out this December.
Half Life: Alyx

Half-Life: Alyx is the third game in Valve’s popular Half-Life series. While some wished for anything more than a VR iteration, the game itself has received a lot of positive feedback from players who have access to VR. This game is great for longtime fans of the series and newbies alike, especially for the chance to take on the lead role of Alyx. Small warning, though: there are a few seizure triggers that I would recommend you be wary of.
Audica
Does this require Oculus Link? Is not.
Here’s another shooter-oriented rhythm game, a nice twist for those who aren’t looking to get creative with Beat Saber. Featuring music by the award-winning Harmonix, this is another great game to enjoy or make into your daily workout routine.
Moss
Does this require Oculus Link? Is not.
Do you want to indulge in something lovely after a hearty day with Star Wars VR? Moss is the perfect experience for that. The lovable protagonist, a rat named Quill, treasures words too much as he presents the world around him with a sense of awe and wonder. There’s also combat, but the sheer size of this world is the best part.
Defeat Saber Multiplayer

Beat Saber is a rhythm game where you use lights to do a move and burn some serious calories. I was quite skeptical about it at first, even with so much praise for the game, but now? Now I’m hooked. I also blame this game for drawing me into the K-Pop group of K/DA League of Legends.
VR has many other stories to explore, including co-op adventures like Wander, Crisis VRigade, and Spaceteam VR. There are sports games like Oculus Quest Golf and Real VR Fishing Quest. There are also horror adventures like Phasmophobia, which I specifically omitted from the main list because honestly? I just really scared to try it in virtual reality. I’m not ashamed, I’m not proud.
There are many different adventures to take on with Oculus Quest 2 for all types of gamers and for all ages. It’s a wireless way to move somewhere else while also having new experiences.
