Last week, MTO News told you that Traci Braxton’s husband Kevin held a funeral for her – and her sisters were all boycotting.
Instead, the Braxton sisters decided to hold their own funeral for Traci in Atlanta – and on her birthday. Of course a lot of celebrities were invited and attended, but one important person was NOT invited – Traci’s husband.
Saturday marks Traci’s first birthday after she passed away at the age of 50 on March 12 from cancer.
“Someone lied and said ‘it got easier.’ It doesn’t. You just have to go on living without,” Tamar, 45, wrote in the caption of her Instagram tribute to her sister.

“On your last birthday we were all very hopeful and optimistic and said it wouldn’t be your last. We were right because Today and EVERY birthday we are. will celebrate you just like we said,” the Way Home singer continued. “Our sisterhood is unbreakable”
Traci is also survived by sisters Towanda, Trina and Toni Braxton. Their family dynamic was clearly captured on their WE TV series Braxton Family Values alongside their mother Evelyn Braxton.
