The next Overwatch League season begins this May and it will be played on an early build of Overwatch 2
The Overwatch League has announced that their upcoming Season 5 will begin on May 5, which means we’re less than three months away from seeing even more Overwatch 2.
That’s because, as previously announced, Season 5 of the Overwatch League will be played on the original Overwatch 2 build. The league continues to expand on this in a new season Community Update 2022as reported by GameSpot.
“There’s so much more we’ve got planned for the 2022 season and we can’t wait to show you all the incredible skins, exciting 5v5 gameplay, and hype tournament plans that we’ve created. we’ve got it in store,” the update reads.
The Overwatch League previously announced that Overwatch 2’s new 5v5 gameplay will be seen in this year’s season. Plus, Overwatch 2’s new Push game mode will be playing this season, and when Overwatch 2 launches, which now looks like 2023 at the earliestboth push and 5v5 gameplay will be included in the original Overwatch.
