The question game is working on the new South Park title and it could have a multiplayer feature
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone revealed last August that a new South Park game is in the works along with “several spin-offs” and more, and now, we know which studios are developing that title.
Revealed on a Recruitment website, Question game, the group behind the Magic Circle and Power outage club, is developing a new South Park game and the job list is suggestible to multiplayer. The listing also reveals that the game will be developed in the Unreal Engine with the aim of releasing it on “modern platforms” such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
“Question and South Park Digital Studios are looking for a Lead Level Designer to work on a new video game set in the world South Park,” the Lead Level Designer job listing on the Question Game’s Careers page says.
The claims section of this listing reveals that the multiplayer experience is a must for anyone signing up, which could suggest that this South Park game could feature some sort of multiplayer. This will be especially interesting since both South Park: The Stick of Truth and South Park: The Fractured But Whole are single-player.
“Multiplayer Experience – Have shipped at least one multiplayer game as a senior designer or have equivalent related experience”, requirements for the Lead Designer position have content.
You can See the full Recruitment page here, but there’s not much else to sparkle from the listings. Whether this South Park game is similar to the previous two released or is something completely different, only time will tell.
