American wake up to Thursday news that WNBA star Brittney Griner was freed from Russian prison after nearly 300 days and was on his way back to the United States from a one-for-one prisoner swap.
No one is as relieved the people who understand Griner the mostincluding her peers and colleagues around the world of women’s basketball, many of whom have spent much of the past 10 months regularly campaigning for her release.
