Alexandria Aniyah Rubio, 10 years old: Alexandria, who goes with Lexi, plays softball and basketball and want to be a lawyer when she grew up. Her parents watched her honorably get an A and receive a good citizenship award at her school on the day she was killed.
Amerie Jo Garza, 10 years old: Amerie is “a person who is always smiling, always smiling,” said her father. She enjoys playing Play-Doh and spending time with friends during recess. “She was very sociable,” he said. “She talked to everyone.”
Tess Marie Mata, 10 years old: Tess loves TikTok dance videos, Ariana Grande and curls, Washington Post reported. And she loves José Altuve, the Houston Astros diminutive star whose location she emulates. She saved up money for a family trip to Disney World after her older sister, Faith, graduated from college the following year.
Jose Flores: “My little Josesito,” his grandfather called out to him. He is a person full of energy baseball and video game enthusiast. In a photo his grandfather kept in his wallet, Jose flashed a bright smile and wore a t-shirt that read, “Tough boys wear pink. ”
Miranda Mathis, 11 years old: Miranda is “very lovely and very talkative”, mother of a close friend told The Austin American-Statesman. Miranda often asks her mother to do her hair like her friend.
Maite Rodriguez, 10 years old: Maite dreams of attending Texas A&M University to become a marine biologist, one cousin wrote on Facebook:She is her mother’s best friend. ”
Makenna Lee Elrod, 10 years old: Makenna enjoy singing and dancing, play with flexible toys and practice softball and gymnastics, an aunt told ABC News. She also loves animals, and hides the notes for her family to find. Recently she gave it to her friend Chloe a friendship bracelet.
Xavier Lopez, 10 years old: A prolific baseball and soccer player, Xavier also chatted on the phone with his girlfriend and was honored. “He was funny, never serious,” said his mother, Felcha Martinez, told The Washington Post. “That smile I will never forget. It will always cheer anyone up.”
Eliana Garcia, 9 years old: The second eldest in a family of five girls, Ellie helps with the housework, reminds her grandparents to take medicine, mow the lawn and babysit her sisters and grandfather. told The Los Angeles Times. She likes “Encanto”, dancing for TikTok videos, cheerleading and basketball.
Layla Salazar, 10 years old: Layla also loves to dance to TikTok videos, and she won six races at the school festival, her father told the Associated Press. She and her father would sing every morning as they drove to school.
Eliahana Cruz Torres, 10 years old: Eliahana plays softball and is particularly looking forward to wearing a green and gray uniform, with black eye grease. The final game of the season was scheduled for Tuesday, and she was hope to become the Uvalde All-Star team.
Alithia Ramirez, 10 years old: Alithia loves to draw. She wanted to be an artist, her father told a San Antonio television station. After a car hit and killed her best friend last year, Alithia send his parents a drawing about him sketching her portrait in heaven and her sketching his portrait on earth.
Jackie Cazares and Annabelle Rodriguez are cousins in the same class. Jackie is one of those societies. “She always had to be the center of attention,” her aunt said. “She’s my little diva.” Annabelle was quieter. But the girls are close — so close that Annabelle’s twin sister, who is homeschooled, “is always jealous.”
Jailah Silguero, 10 years old: Jailah The youngest in a family of four, the “baby” of the family, her father said. Her mother tell Univision that Jailah loves to dance and take videos on TikTok.
Jayce Luevanos, 10 years old: Jayce, Jailah’s cousin, would make a pot of coffee for his grandparents every morning, his grandfather told USA Today. Friends came to his house, a block from the school, to play in the yard. He likes to make people laugh, another relative told The Daily Beast.
Uziyah Garcia, 9 years old: Uziyah loves video games and football. His grandfather told The Los Angeles Times that Uziyah “is the childish type [who] can be interested in anything for five minutes. Just the perfect kid, as far as I’m concerned.”
Nevaeh Bravo, 10: “She’s flying with the angels now,” a cousin wrote on Twitter.
Rojelio Torres, 10 years old, is “intelligent, hardworking and helpful”, his aunt told a San Antonio television station.
Eva Mireles, 44 years old: “She loves those kids,” said a neighbor. Mireles has worked for the school district for about 17 years. She loves running and hiking. “She is very adventurous and courageous, vivacious and can light up a room”, a relative told ABC News.
Irma Garcia, 46 years old: Garcia spent 23 years at Robb Primary School, five of whom are Mireles’ co-teachers. She enjoys singing along to classic rock tunes and helps her grandson, a college student, with his homework. Garcia is known as a staunch optimist. She enjoys barbecues with her husband of 24 years, Joe; he died yesterdayof a heart attack.
