The Kia Carens is the Korean brand’s first MPV in India.
The last Kia Carens had its lid broken. Now, the Carens name isn’t new to Kia. The company used to sell a compact MPV called the Carens in Korea from 1999 to 2018, however, globally it is better known as the Kia Rondo. The company revived the Carens name again and India was the first market to get it. The Kia Carens is targeted at modern Indian families, so it has decent legroom, a straight roofline and an upright stance that lends itself to that quintessential MPV appeal.

It’s based on the Seltos platform and the exterior is aggressively treated with a separate headlight setup, signature LED DRLs, sleek LED headlights and muscular bumpers with large air intakes. Then sport alloy wheels, bold personality lines and roof rails also add to that strong appeal. The rear section has sharp-looking wraparound LED taillights connected by what looks like an LED strip. The sculpted rear end and an aggressive rear bumper also complement the design quite well.

On the inside, the design is quite minimalist and the control panel with very few buttons and horizontal air vents looks very luxurious.
