Just a few hours later posting a confusing video on TikTok dying young, 19-year-old influencer Cooper Noriega has found dead at a mall parking lot in Los Angeles on Thursday, a medical examiner’s report said.
Noriega’s cause of death was not released, and a request for details from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was not immediately answered.
TMZ reported Noriega, who has nearly 2 million followers on TikTok, was not in his car when his unconscious body was discovered by a passerby on Thursday night. The report said first responders tried to resuscitate him but were unsuccessful. Offense is not suspected.
In Noriega’s next video, posted on Thursday night, he asks his followers: “Who else thinks they’ll die young?”
Noriega posts daily videos online showcasing his life in Los Angeles. He also has a significant following on Instagram and appeared on a podcast with Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy just last week.
Records show the teenager will turn 20 on June 28.
Noriega’s TikTox comments exploded Friday morning as news of his death went viral, with mourning fans sharing their love for the young star. The same goes for his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina Quesada, whose TikTok also became flooded with messages of support.
Quesada announced her 4 million followers in April that she and Noriega broke up after dating since October 2020.
