Tommy Fury has become boxing’s ‘biggest b****’ after withdrawing from a fight with Jake Paul | UK News
Jake Paul has lashed out at rival Tommy Fury, calling him “boxing’s biggest b****” after he pulled out of a fight because of a health condition.
Love Island star Fury, 22, withdrew from the fight after suffering a “severe chest infection and broken ribs”, revealing he was “heartbroken”.
Fury promoter Frank Warren says he is “clearly nowhere near 100%”.
But Paul, 24, criticized Fury’s decision to withdraw in a video posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
The boxer launched a scathing attack, telling his four million followers: “It’s official, Tommy Fury is the biggest b**** in boxing.
“He withdrew from the fight, the Furys withdrew from the fight due to a health condition.”
He added: “I couldn’t believe the news at first, it wasn’t even real.
“Now he’s going to watch at home, paying me $60, instead of being paid millions of dollars against me.
“I fought with a broken nose, I fought with illness, get over it, this is boxing.
“It was official, he was scared, I think the pressure was on him, his *** talk.”
Paul will now have his rematch against Tyron Woodley on December 18 in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Paul has offered Woodley an extra £500,000 if he can be disqualified.
He added: “The good news is Mr. Tyron Woodley, we called him up, we said, ‘hey, do you want to be in the fight,’ he’s trained, he’s gone’ I’ll fight for sure, let’s rematch, run again’.”
“I’ll give him another £500,000 if he can knock me down.
He added: “I didn’t knock him out the first time, I’ll be back.
“Sunday the 18th, the show must go on, see you there.”
Fury had previously warned Paul on November 14 how “NOTHING can save you now” and “you’ll find that you can’t come to my world unscathed,” in a tweet accompanying the expression. clown emoticon.
Today he said in a statement: “I am completely heartbroken that I have been forced to withdraw from my fight with Jake Paul.
“I cannot express how disappointed I am and I really hope we can reschedule this game into the new year, I want this fight to happen more than anything.
“I’m now regretfully focusing on recovering and rescheduling another day.”
Once a popular YouTube content creator, Paul quit social media to switch to fighting in the ring and was undefeated in his 4 professional fights.
Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, 33, has won his seven fights.
