Barcelona have increased their pursuit of a striker in Sergio Aguero‘NS absent due to injury, and they identified Manchester United‘NS Edinson Cavani is a potential target in January.

“What has been said about Aguero is not true,” Barca boss Xavi said on Saturday. “I spoke to him the day before. We’ll see how things go and if he can keep playing, but it’s a medical issue.”

08.00 GMT: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said it is time to “step aside” in a tearful farewell interview after Manchester United announced their departure as manager.
Solskjaer lost his manager job on Sunday after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Watford. Manchester United are having 5 losses in 7 matches in the league and are 6 points behind the Champions League place.
Pressure on the manager increased after a humiliating 5-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool followed by a 0-2 defeat to Manchester City.
Solskjaer told MUTV: “This club means a lot to me and together we are a good game, but unfortunately I couldn’t get the results I wanted and it’s time for me to put it off. aside,” said Solskjaer.
“You know how much this club means to me and what I want to achieve here. To the club, to the fans, to the players, to the staff. I want us to take the next step to challenge for the tournament, to win titles and I just think it’s right to come out of the horse’s mouth. about interviews but no, I won’t be interviewing at all.
