What do you think about the look of the Riddler in Batman?
The Riddler is a notorious Batman villain and one of the smartest people in the world’s greatest detective gallery. Having been around for decades, first appearing in Detective Comics #140 in 1948, the character has gone through countless iterations.
There is a version of green tights that the world first encountered in 1948 and it slowly evolved into a green garment with purple accents. We also have more live versions with some Riddler iterations showing an outfit covered in question marks and sometimes carrying a question mark stick.

Frank Gorshin’s Riddler from Adam West in the 1960s Batman the series (and movies) is played with both the green suit look and the green tights look. Then we see Jim Carrey step into those tights in the 1995s Batman forever and it was the villain’s final silver screen appearance. However, we have seen a difference of Riddler in that Gotham TV show years ago, and that brings Edward Nygma back in flashy suits.
Thanks for coming Matt Reeve Batman, will hit theaters on March 4, We’ve got another take on Riddler and it’s easily the most different we’ve seen so far.. Abandon flashy looks and go for something more grounded in reality (even homemade), Paul Dano’s Riddler is sure to bring something unique to Robert Pattinson’s forgery gallery. .
Personally, I’m more excited about Dano’s performance as the Riddler than this costume. While it’s a fun scene about the Riddler, I’m a bigger fan of the out-of-the-ordinary E. Nygma. I also feel like the Zodiac Killer sign with a question mark is a bit above the nose. All that said, Reeves has directed one of the best trilogy of recent memory with Planet of the Apes, and Dano is a great actor joining a great cast, so I feel confident that I will give up Batman Desperate to see more of this Riddler.
How about you? What do you think of this Riddler? Do you like this more homemade look or would you rather see something brighter? Are you excited about Dano’s Riddler? What about Pattinson’s Batman? Let us know in the comments below!
