WhatsApp detection test New interface for voice calls on Android, iOS

WhatsApp has been spotted developing a new interface for voice calls. The interface is said to be part of both the Android and iOS versions of the instant messaging app. WhatsApp can bring an improved experience to both individual and group voice calls through the new interface. However, the changes are not yet available to access – even to beta testers. This means that users may need to wait a while to receive the updated voice call interface.

According to a report via WhatsApp beta tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has been developing a new interface for voice calls to provide users with a more compact and modern experience. The source also shared a few screenshots to compare how the redesigned interface differs from the current one.

Screenshots have been taken from WhatsApp for iOS, although WABetaInfo says the same redesign will be part of the WhatsApp for Android also.

Details on when the redesigned interface will be available to users have yet to be revealed. As mentioned, the changes are yet to be made available to beta testers.

WhatsApp’s redesigned voice calling interface was discovered just a few months later introduced joinable group calls. Recent Messaging Apps integrates its joinable call feature in group chats to allow users to join an ongoing voice or video call directly from their group.

WhatsApp was also recently spotted in development index for end-to-end encryption for calls and state updates. Furthermore, beta testers on WhatsApp Business recently received Shortcut for quick reply.

Along with the experimental features, WhatsApp last week updated the voice messaging experience by rolling out a feature that allows users to preview their voice messages before sending them.
