WhatsApp for iOS has the ability to pause recording voice messages, new focus mode
WhatsApp for iOS has been updated with the ability to let you pause and resume while recording voice messages. This is an extension to the recently introduced voice message preview feature, allowing users to review their voice message recordings before sending them to their contacts. The updated WhatsApp also supports Focus mode, part of iOS 15. The new features are currently available to select iPhone users, though they will roll out to all eligible consumers in the coming months. Next few weeks.
Through the WhatsApp for iOS version 22.5.75, instant messaging app enabled Iphone user pauses and resumes while recording voice messages. It basically replaces the existing stop button introduced through voice message preview in December with dynamic pause and resume buttons.
You can try the new one WhatsApp Experience voice messaging by swiping up to lock your voice recording, then tap the pause and resume buttons.
The ability to pause recording of voice messages is first discovery in October last year. However, it is not available to WhatsApp users so far.
It’s also important to note that the update experience is currently only available to iPhone owners as users on WhatsApp for Android still can’t pause and resume recording their voice messages.
Gadgets 360 may have noticed that while an updated version of WhatsApp is currently available to select users, those on the previous version have also started receiving a new voice message recording experience. This indicates that the change is being rolled out from the server side.
By allowing users to pause and resume recording their voice messages, WhatsApp has taken another step toward refining the voice messaging experience on its app. Company owned by Facebook parents Meta previously brought features including playback speed and wave for voice messages to help users send voice messages.
The second change that WhatsApp update for iOS brings to users is Focus Mode support. This will allow users to consider receiving messages from selected users even if you don’t want to be bothered by regular notifications.
WhatsApp for iOS through the latest update has also started showing group and profile photos along with notifications every time you receive a new message. This is similar to how you see the profile pictures of people who send you direct messages on Twitter. It is also spot by WhatsApp beta tracker WABetaInfo earlier this month. This feature is also limited to users on iOS 15 and later versions.
