Where did Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos land?

Another pound-for-pounder has dropped.

George Kambosos experienced one of the biggest disturbances in recent years on Saturday in New York, beat Teofimo Lopez undefeated before (ranked 6th going into the match) with a decisive match to become the undisputed lightweight champion.

Lopez (16-1, 12 KOs) has to drop down or off the list, right? And what do we do with Kambosos?

After careful consideration, here is what was decided:

Lopez has had some strong wins, including his own disappointment about then-No. 1 Vasiliy Lomachenko last October. And in the end he lost to Kambosos, who outperformed his American opponent.

As such, Lopez will fall out of the Top 15 but will still be on this list as a Mentioned Person. In other words, he could barely hold on.

And Kambosos, who have now beaten back-to-back in hostile territory Mickey Bey, Lee Selby and world No. 6, joins Lopez in the Honorable Mention category.

Kazuto Ioka moved from Honor to 15th to replace Lopez. And Oscar Valdez, who was mentioned in the final list, left to make room for Kambosos.

The list is subject to further change before the end of the year. No 3 Naoya Inoue, No 8 Lomachenko, No 10 Gennadiy Golovkin, No 13 Artur Beterbiev and No 14 Gervonta Davis will fight before the start of 2022.
